"MAFIA!"

Mafia!

Oh man, this movie had potential. It coulda been so funny. But no, it disappointed. One of the famous "Ab-Zuck" guys (the team that did "Airplane" and "The Naked Gun") was involved, so it shoulda been better. My hopes were higher, but that's no excuse.

A spoof of "The Godfather" trilogy, "GoodFellas," and "Casino," it DOES help to have seen those movies, but that only means that you'll get all the gags that weren't that funny to begin with. Don't get me wrong, there WERE parts that had me laughing out loud, but I expected to do more laughing than I did.

It's kinda sad that this was Lloyd Bridges' last performance. He was fine in the role of a "Don Corleone"-like guy (and like Marlon Brando as "Don Corleone, he was pretty incoherent, although I'm not sure if he was meant to be), but I'm sure he woulda wanted a different movie to end his career by.
