"Cop Land"
is not a simple film to explain, so I won't bother. I WILL say that it has
several stories within the main story ranging from almost irrelevant to
essential. The dialogue is beautifully written and the strength of the actors
(as well as their geographical backgrounds), make the New York speak seem
very authentic. All in all, I really enjoyed "Cop Land," but it isn't flawless.
Some loose ends weren't explained, almost as if they were completely forgotten,
or ignored. That's not really the issue, though. Just go to the theater,
sit back, and watch some of the finest actors alive deliver some of the
best dialogue you'll hear in a major motion picture.
Scale of 1-10: 8
NOTE: I apologize if this was poorly written, but this is my very first movie review!! I'll try to do better next time. I promise!
