"COP LAND"

Cop Land

I wasn't sure what to expect from this movie. I mean, I was really rooting for fellow wop and Miamian, Sylvester Stallone, but I wasn't entirely sure he could pull off being in a movie and actually acting; and doing so with some serious talent acting alongside him. Well, I'm happy to say that he indeed pulled it off. As a matter of fact, along with Ray Liotta, his performance is what you'll remember most when you leave the theater.

"Cop Land" is not a simple film to explain, so I won't bother. I WILL say that it has several stories within the main story ranging from almost irrelevant to essential. The dialogue is beautifully written and the strength of the actors (as well as their geographical backgrounds), make the New York speak seem very authentic. All in all, I really enjoyed "Cop Land," but it isn't flawless. Some loose ends weren't explained, almost as if they were completely forgotten, or ignored. That's not really the issue, though. Just go to the theater, sit back, and watch some of the finest actors alive deliver some of the best dialogue you'll hear in a major motion picture.

Scale of 1-10: 8

NOTE: I apologize if this was poorly written, but this is my very first movie review!! I'll try to do better next time. I promise!
