UNDER
CONSTRUCTION.
OR MAYBE CLOSED FOREVER, I'M NOT SURE YET.
JoeytheFilmGeek.com
is under construction, and it'll remain that way for a while. There's also
the possibility that it's gone for good, I honestly don't know yet. I
do, however, know that I'll no longer be updating this web site in its
current incarnation. I wrote
a very
long good-bye, and if you'd like to read it, click
here. Don't worry, the reason I'm quitting is not because I've given
up on my love for movies, nor have I given up on writing. It's simply time
to move on, and that's what I'm doing. Again, read
my good-bye to get a better idea of my motives.
My
joey@joeythefilmgeek.com E-Mail address has become nothing more
than a spam collector at this point, so it's useless to me. If
you'd like to contact me with questions, comments, suggestions, or anything
else, please send it to my AOL E-Mail account,
which is:

Although you no
longer have JoeytheFilmGeek.com to check out every week, here are a couple
of similar web sites you may be interested in checking out:
- Joey's
MySpace Page: Although my
web site will be down indefinitely, I still have my MySpace page, which
I
update every now and
then with a new blog entry. A warning, though; JoeytheFilmGeek.com
has always been a PG-13 web site, but my MySpace page is decidedly
R-rated, especially
if you choose to read the blogs.
- The
OTHER Joey the Film Geek: Would
you believe there's another film geek out there named Joey? Okay, maybe
that isn't too hard to believe,
but another film geek named Joey who also happens to be a comic book geek
with
an affinity for Batman? Still possible. Okay, how about if, like me,
he's from Miami, he went to American High, and he attended Full Sail's
film program? Pretty crazy, right? This clone of mine also writes movie
reviews
(unlike
mine, however, his are very thorough and well-written). To check out
the
other Joey the Film Geek, check out his "Movies Only" page
on MySpace. Highly recommended.
- AJ's
Little Piece of Misery: My
buddy AJ has been hammering away at his web site for about as long as
I've had mine. Like
JoeytheFilmGeek.com, his web site has movie reviews, but it also has occasional
CD reviews, concert
reviews, and journal entries. He also posts some of his writing. He
tends to write dark stuff, but I think his greatest strength is when he
writes
comedy. "Redneck Jesus" may be the funniest thing I've ever
read. His artwork is hilarious, too, but he doesn't have a scanner to
post his
art. Oh well. AJ happens to be the only person to ever write in my web
site other than me, as he updated it for me when I took a two-week vacation,
and
he did a fantastic job.
To those of you
who have been faithful readers, thank you so so sooooooo much! Your frequent
correspondence has kept the site going for as long as it has. Hopefully sometime
in 2007, this site will be back up, though it'll be totally different. And
yes, I'll finally get rid of the black background.
